ETC2 update

I sent out the PCB design for the ETC2 today.

These are a few of the improvements over the original ETC:

• on-board fuse
• new USB chip will eventually enable use with LinuxCNC
• relay connector resized to prevent mis-plugging
• new motor driver allows larger heatsink

If all goes well, the first few should become available sometime in November.

First batch sold out... second batch coming

My first batch of four controllers sold out pretty fast. I am working on a slight redesign to make them cheaper for me to make as I only broke even on the first batch. My goal is to make them profitable for me to sell without raising the price out of the range of affordability for hobbyists. Setup tool written

A Windows setup tool is now tested and working:

Features:

• Performs every tool change and relay function that Mach can from one control panel
• Reads and writes the board's non-volatile current and PWM parameters for motor control
• Generates G-code toolchanger test programs with one click
